Queen Elizabeth II dead at 94 is a death hoax. There is no truth to a report that the Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms had passed after making a dramatic final breath statement not to trust President Donald Trump. That sentence alone was enough to trigger warning signs.

Where did this death hoax originate? Daily World Update published the death hoax on April 28, 2018, reporting that Queen Elizabeth II, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, had passed away. You can read the death hoax below.

Queen Elizabeth II of England, Ruler of the Britons, Matriarch of the Kingdom, Protector of the Realm and Second of her name succumbed to a stroke in her home in Windsor this afternoon. The news is slowly making its way out of Buckingham Palace, which is on complete lockdown until official word comes from the Royal Coroner.

According to a source close to the BBC, Her Royal Highness was awake and alert while the stroke was happening and managed to get out one final thought: “Don’t trust Donald Trump.” Shortly thereafter she passed.

However, there is no truth to the above story. Of course, there is no legitimate news coverage of her death despite the above story’s claim citing a delay due to the time difference. And, you most certainly will not find an obituary about the Queen on the BBC despite the above story having a source close to them. Finally, and most importantly, Daily World Update carries the following disclaimer on its website:

America’s Last Line of Defense is a whimsical playland of conservative satire.

Before you complain and decide satire is synonymous with “comedy”:

sat·ire
ˈsaˌtī(ə)r
noun
The use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

While the site clearly labels itself as satire, you can judge whether a death hoax is something funny.

The only recent death to fall upon the royal family was that of her corgi. The last descendant of her original corgi, 14-year-old Willow was put down following a battle with cancer. Willow was the last in a long line of royal corgis owned by Britain’s longest-serving monarch.

If you are curious what will happen when Queen Elizabeth II dies, Business Insider has a detailed report about it. For at least 12 days, Britain, its government and other industries will come to a halt. From that stoppage, it will cost the British economy billions in lost earnings. And both the funeral and the subsequent coronation will become formal national holidays, each with an estimated economic hit to GDP of between £1.2 and £6 billion as banks and the stock markets close, to say nothing of organizational costs.
